"We will attain our exaltation in the Celestial Kingdom only on the condition that we share with our Father’s other children the blessings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and observe the commandments that will enrich our lives here and hereafter” (Sharing the Gospel with Others, 190).
|Baptism of Ronnie & Kaydon Reeves|
Anyway, I spend most of my life in a 2012 Ford Fusion, so I thought I’d include some pictures of what my life looks like.
We've got another baptism coming up this next weekend for Freddy Quintana, he has such a sincere heart and is trying to repent, he just has so many addictions to kick. Thankfully, we have the power of God, the priesthood, and so we gave him a blessing to heal him. Now it's up to his faith if he can be healed, for I know he will be healed if it is the will of God.
I'm learning a lot about the Priesthood, in our interviews last week, our mission president focused on each of our testimonies. A testimony should always include 5 parts:
1. The Atonement of Jesus Christ and his role as Savior and Redeemer of the World.
2. The restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the Prophet Joseph Smith.
3. The Book of Mormon is the word of God.
4. The priesthood and its power and authority are once again upon the earth.
5. We have a living prophet on the earth today and Thomas S. Monson is that prophet.
The only way to get these 5 down? Practice! Fast & Testimony meetings! How do we strengthen our physical bodies? We tear them apart, use them up, and then they heal, stronger than before. The same principle applies to our spiritual bodies, we need to use them up and they will become stronger. I have a little advantage right now, 6 Sacrament meetings to go to, and I testify out on the street and during lessons, but I know there are opportunities. Go out with the missionaries, they can help you solidify your testimonies!
We had quite a few meetings this week; one was with the zone leaders and Elder Steven B. Allen, who is in charge of the entire world for missionary work. He has been known to smash, rip and tear zone leaders apart, but this week we had two sisters joining us as "training sisters" and so he went soft on us. We learned that we really need to be teaching repentance, and not just the actions to stop sinning. We've been hammering repentance lately and we've seen a lot of results too, a lot of tears...
